Sleep is VERY important all year round, but especially in winter. As daylight hours shorten and nights become longer, the body automatically “demands” more sleep. Try going to bed half an hour earlier than usual – 30 extra minutes of sleep can work wonders! In winter, the body and mind seem to demand the opposite – fatigue makes you want to sit at home rather than go cold. However, your body’s need for fresh air has not diminished, so walking outside is exactly what you need. The fresh air will help you wake up from winter drowsiness!
